Introduction
- The Kogi State Ministry of Solid Minerals and Natural Resources is inviting proposals from competent and experienced companies to provide specialized consultancy services for the reserve estimation of gold and other mineral resources across the 21 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state.
Scope of Work
The selected firms will be required to carry out the following:
- Geophysical Data Analysis: Conduct surveys using advanced geophysical methods (e.g., magnetic, electromagnetic, and seismic techniques) to map subsurface structures and potential mineral deposits.
- Geochemical Data Analysis: Perform comprehensive soil, rock, and stream sediment sampling and analysis to determine the mineral composition and grade distribution.
- Remote Sensing and Geospatial Data Analysis: Utilize satellite imagery and GIS-based technologies to identify mineralization patterns, geological structures, and other relevant spatial features.
- Geological and Geophysical Surveys: Conduct systematic field studies and integrate geophysical and geochemical findings to establish reserve estimates for gold and other minerals.
- Reserve Estimation and Reporting: Estimate mineral reserves and resources in compliance with international standards such as NI 43-101, JORC Code, or equivalent, providing detailed reports suitable for investment and development purposes.
Eligibility Criteria
Qualified companies must meet the following requirements:
- Proven track record in conducting mineral exploration, reserve estimation, and resource evaluation.
- Expertise in geophysics, geochemistry, GIS, and remote sensing applications for mineral resource mapping.
- Evidence of prior work in similar projects, preferably within Nigeria or sub- Saharan Africa.
- Availability of state-of-the-art equipment and technology for data acquisition and analysis.
- Certified professionals with relevant qualifications in geology, geophysics, geochemistry, and GIS.
- Compliance with Nigerian laws and regulations governing mineral exploration and resource evaluation.

- Company profile, including relevant experience and key personnel qualifications.
- Evidence of similar projects completed in the last five (5) years.
- Technical and financial proposals detailing the methodology, timelines, and costs for the project.
- Certificates of incorporation, tax clearance, and other regulatory compliance documents.
- List of equipment and software tools available for the project.
