National Hospital, Abuja invites interested, competent and reputable Companies to submit their technical bids for the Provision of Non-Consultancy Services (Engineering Services). Interested companies should possess relevant qualifications.




The National Hospital was established by act 36 of 1999 as a 200 bed National Hospital for women and Children (NHWC). Under the Presidency. It was originally designed to cater for the needs of women and children in Nigeria and the West African sub-region with a view to reducing morbidity and mortality rates, and to carry out extensive research into the peculiar causes of women and children-related diseases in Africa. However, in the year 2000 the name was changed to National Hospital with a mandate to cater for all and in 2011, it was transferred from the Presidency to the Federal Ministry of Health for supervision. The hospital expanded to 400bed and now renders specialist services in all areas of medicine.

In compliance with Section 25(2)(1) of Public Procurement Act 2007, the National Hospital, Abuja hereby invites interested, competent and reputable Companies with relevant experience to submit their technical bids for Non Consultancy Services and Routine Procurement for 2025 operations, under the National Competition Bidding Category:

Eligibility Requirements
Interested Companies are required to submit the following documents in their technical profiles:
  • Evidence of Certificate of Incorporation issued by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) including Form CAC 1.1 or CAC2 and CAC7
  • Evidence of Company Income's Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years valid till 31st December, 2024.
  • Evidence of current Pension Compliance Certificate valid till 31st December, 2024
  • Evidence of current Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Compliance Certificate valid till 31st December, 2024
  • Evidence of current Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) Compliance Certificate valid till 31st December, 2024
  • Evidence of Registration on the National Database of Federal Contractors, Consultants and Service Providers by submission of Interim Registration Report (IRR) expiring on 31/12/2024 or valid Certificate issued by BPP.
  • Sworn Affidavit: -disclosing whether or not any officer of the relevant committees of the National Hospital, Abuja or the Bureau of Public Procurement is a former or present Director, shareholder or has any pecuniary interest in the bidder and to confirm that all information presented in its bid are true and correct in all particulars; - the Company is not in receivership, insolvent or bankrupt, - none of the Directors of the company has been convicted in any Court for any criminal offence including fraud and financial impropriety
  • Company's Audited Accounts for the last three (3) years-2021, 2022 & 2023
  • Evidence of financial capability to execute the project by submission of Reference Letter from a reputable commercial bank in Nigeria, indicating willingness to provide credit facility for the execution of the project when needed
  • Evidence of registration with the relevant professional bodies such EHORECON (Cleaning Services), NITDA/CPN (Information Technology), NSCDC (Security Services) etc.
  • Company's Profile with the Curriculum Vitae of Key Staff to be deployed for the project, including copies of their Academic/Professional qualifications
  • Verifiable documentary evidence of at least three similar jobs executed in the last five (5) years including Letters of Awards, Valuation Certificates, Job Completion Certificate and Photographs of the projects
  • All documents for submission must be transmitted with a Covering/Forwarding letter under the Company/Firm's Letter Head Paper bearing amongst others, the Registration Number (RC) as issued by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Contact Address, Telephone Number (preferably GSM No.), and e-mail address. The Letterhead Paper must bear the Names and Nationalities of the Directors of the Company at the bottom of the page, duly signed by the authorised officer of the firm.
Application Closing Date
12:00 noon on Thursday 20th February, 2025.

Submission of Tender Documents

The technical documents are to be submitted in two (2) Hardcopies, must be neatly bound and sealed in envelopes clearly marked, at the top right corner of the envelope with the title of the project. e.g. "Technical Bid for Scope A: iv) Medical Equipment and Devices and addressed to:

Bids should be dropped in the Tender Box in front of the Chief Medical Director's Office on or before 12:00 noon on Thursday 20th February, 2025.

Opening of Technical Bids
  • The envelopes containing the Technical Bid shall be opened immediately after the deadline for submission at 12:00 noon Thursday 20 February, 2025, at the Auditorium at the National Trauma Centre, National Hospital Abuja.
  • Please, ensure that you sign the Bid Submission Register with the security man by the Tender Box, as the National Hospital Abuja will not be held liable for misplaced or wrongly submitted bids.

General Information
  • Bids must be in English Language and signed by an official authorised by the bidder
  • Bids submitted after the deadline for submission would be returned un-opened
  • All documents submitted may be referred to the respective issuing authority for verification and authentication
  • Bidders should not bid for more than two projects under each Scopes;
  • All costs will be borne by the bidders
  • Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders or their representatives and two (2) representatives of private sector professional bodies and Civil Society Organisation in the areas of Anti-Corruption/Transparency
  • Only pre-qualified bidders at technical evaluation will be invited at a later date to collect relevant technical specifications for submission of financial bids and considered in subsequent Routine Procurement
  • The National Hospital Abuja is not bound to pre-qualify any bidder and reserves the right to annul the Procurement process at any time without incurring any liabilities in accordance with Section 28 of the Public Procurement Act 2007.
