WaterAid Nigeria with funding support from Kimberly Clark Corporation under the Integrated Health and Hygiene Project in collaboration with the Lagos State government, Ojodu and Ikorodu North Local Council Development Areas invites reputable and qualified companies to Tender for the Rehabilitation and Construction of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Facilities (Odo-Nla Primary Healthcare Centre). Interested contractors should possess relevant qualifications and experience.




WaterAid is an international non-for-profit organization dedicated to helping people break free from poverty and disease, unlock their potential and change their lives for good through improved access to clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene. WaterAid started its operation in Nigeria in 1995. Since then it has successfully executed several intervention programmes as outlined by its objectives and has made impact in the lives of the very poor. WaterAid with the country office in Abuja currently works in Bauchi, Enugu and Plateau States with funding from various donors and partners.

We hereby invite tenders from reputable and qualified companies for:

Preamble
  • WaterAid Nigeria with funding support from Kimberly Clark Corporation under the Integrated Health and Hygiene Project in collaboration with the Lagos State government, Ojodu and Ikorodu North Local Council Development Areas, hereby invites tender from reputable and qualified companies for the structural rehabilitation of two Primary Healthcare Centres as well as the rehabilitation and construction of water, sanitation and hygiene facilities.
  • The purpose of this rehabilitation is to upgrade the existing healthcare facilities to meet current healthcare standards, improve patient care, ensure staff efficiency, and enhance the building's sustainability and safety.
Scope of Work
  • Rehabilitation of the entire building which will include structural renovation, interior design and space planning, overhaul and upgrade of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. Rehabilitation/construction of one (1) solarized water facility and sanitation facilities in the center.
Please note that interested contractors can only bid for either LOT 1 or LOT 2.

Mandatory Requirements

Companies interested in participating in the tendering process are to submit their company profiles which must contain the following:
  • Evidence of registration with the Lagos State Public Procurement Agency (PPA).
  • Evidence of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
  • Evidence of Company audited financial account and Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three years (2021, 2022 and 2023).
  • Submit evidence of membership of the relevant professional association or organization (PENCOM, NSITF, ITF, BPP)
  • List of certified Board Members showing their designation on the Board.
  • The forwarding letter submitting the bid documents should be signed by the Chairman of the Board or his/her alternate
  • Resumé of key technical staff (Geologist or Hydrogeologist, Civil Engineer and Electro-Mechanical Engineer) with evidence of COREN or COMEG or their equivalent.
  • Verifiable evidence of similar projects previously undertaken, including letters of awards and Completion Certificates within the past three (3) years; also, indicate thefinancial value of these similar projects.
  • Certified copies of company bank statements in the last 6 months.
  • Description and list of equipment owned by the company relevant to the project,including proof of ownership or lease or license over the equipment.
  • A work plan indicating how the work will be carried out from start to finish and thenumber of days required to complete the work.
  • Evidence of participation in the site visit that will be organised by the LCDA/Water Aidon 22 November 2024 by 10am.

Completed tender documents and company profile, which shall be in THREE copies (ONE original, TWO photocopies) containing spreadsheet copy of the completed BOQ and other bid documents are to be submitted in a sealed envelope marked with the company's Name, at the top left-hand corner, and addressed to:

Opening of EOI and Technical Bids
Bid opening shall follow on 11:00a.m same day Friday 29th November, 2024 at the Procurement Unit of Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area, Isiwu.

Mandatory Site Visit
A mandatory site visit to locations will be happening on Friday 22nd November, 2024. This will be carried out in conjunction with the Water Aid team and partners.
