Introduction
- The Federal republic of Nigeria has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACRESAL) Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Engagement of Consulting Firm for the supervision of Bulbula/Gayawa Erosion Control Site in Kano State
- The consulting services ("the Services") include Supervision of contracts for the control of Gully Erosion at Bulbula/Gayawa in Ungogo/Nassarawa LGAs of Kano State. The duration of the assignment is Two Years which is expected start in January 2025

- The Kano State Ministry of Environment and Climate Change now invites eligible consulting firms ("Consultants") to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consulting Firms should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services.
The shortlisting criteria are:
- Evidence showing the fields of specialty of the firm and years in business (consulting firms profile/brochures).
- Evidence showing the technical and managerial capabilities of the firm Description of similar assignments.
Note
- Key Experts will not be evaluated at the shortlisting stage.
- The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank's "Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers" July 2016, revised November 2017 and August 2018 and Fifth Edition, September, 2023 ("Procurement Regulations"), setting forth the World Bank's policy on conflict of interest.
- Consulting firms may associate with other firms to enhance their qualifications but should indicate clearly whether the association is in the form of a joint venture and/or a sub-consultancy.
- In the case of a joint venture, all the partners in the joint venture shall be jointly and strictly liable for the entire contract, if selected.
- A Consulting firms will be selected in accordance with the Consultants Qualifications-based Selection (CQS) method set out in the World Bank Procurement Regulations.
