RFB Description: Spot Improvement Package 3: 62.77km Rural Roads (Lots 1)

Introduction

The Federal Government of Nigeria through the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has received financing from the World Bank and French Development Agency (AFD) toward the cost of the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) and on-lent the financing to nineteen participating states (namely Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bauchi, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Kogi, Kwara, Ondo, Ogun, Oyo, Plateau, Sokoto, Niger, Gombe, Ekiti, Kaduna, Ebonyi and Osun). Bauchi SPIU intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Spot Improvement: 62.77km Rural Roads Package 3 (Lots 1 & 2).
This contract will be financed by the International Development Association (IDA), French Development Agency and Bauchi State Government. Procurement process will be governed by the World Bank's Procurement Regulations.
The Bauchi State Project Implementation Unit, Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the project below:

Note

The project involves Spot Improvement of an existing rural feeder road having a combined total length of 62.77km. The works include but not limited to; Site clearance and Earthwork, Culverts and Drains, Pavement and Surfacing (Single-coat surface dressing) as well as strict undertaking of Social and Environmental Safeguards.
The work is expected to be completed within 18 months.

Bidding Procedures

Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive procurement method using Request for Bids (RFB) document as specified in the World Bank's "Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers- Procurement in Investment Projects Financing" September, 2023- fifth Edition ("Procurement Regulations"), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the State Project Coordinator, Bauchi State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP), State Project Implementation Unit (SPIU) and inspect the bidding document during office hours 0900 to 1600 at the address given below.

Payment for Bidding Documents

The bidding document in English Language may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Fifty Thousand Naira (NGN50,000.00) only per Package.
