Title: Request to Bid for the Physical Improvement / Upgrading of Darki Market (Agro-Logistics Center)

• The Federal Government of Nigeria through the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Physical Improvement/Upgrading of 3no Agro-logistics Centers in Kano State (Lots 1-3).
  
• This contract will be financed by the International Development Association (IDA). Procurement process will be governed by the World Bank's Procurement Regulations.
• The Kano State Project Implementation Unit, Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Physical Improvement / Upgrading of Darki Market (Agro-Logistics Center) as follows:
  
  • LGA / Location: Wudil LGA
  • Financial Capability (NGN NAIRA): N350 Million
  • Average Annual Construction Turnover (NGN NAIRA): N2.3 Billion
  • Specific Contract & Contract Management: 2 Contracts each of N1.4 Billion within the last five years.
• Note
  • The project involves Physical Improvement/Upgrading of Agro-logistics Centers in Kano State. The works include but not limited to; upgrading of open sheds, lockup shops, ware houses, slaughter houses with cold rooms, internal roads, walk ways, drainages etc as well as strict undertaking of Social and Environmental Safeguard.
  • The work is expected to be completed within 18 months.
• Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive procurement method using Request for Bids (RFB) document as specified in the World Bank's "Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers-Procurement in Investment Projects Financing" November, 2020 - Fourth Edition ("Procurement Regulations"), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
  
• Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the State Project Coordinator Kano State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP), State Project Implementation Unit (SPIU) and inspect the bidding document during office hours 0900 to 1600 at the address given below.
• The bidding document in English Language may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (NGN150,000.00) only. • Electronic Bidding will NOT be permitted.
