The consultant will support curriculum design, development of training modules, training and mentoring, and evaluation.

Overview
- The Centre for Clinical Care and Clinical Research (CCCRN), with support from PEPFAR and other stakeholders, is committed to enhancing the leadership capacity of nurses in Nigeria.
- To achieve this, we are seeking proposals from qualified consultants or organizations to support implementation of a Nursing Leadership Capacity Development Program.
Scope of work
- The consultant will support curriculum design, development of training modules, training and mentoring and training evaluation. The training should be interactive, utilizing various teaching methods such as case studies, role-playing, group discussions, and hands-on activities allowing participants to apply the concepts in their professional settings.
Responsibilities
The consultant will be responsible for the following tasks:
Module Development:
- Create comprehensive training modules that cover essential leadership topics, including but not limited to:
- Strategic Planning and Implementation
- Supportive Supervision and Mentorship in Clinical Settings
- Advocacy
- Ethical and Legal Considerations in Nursing Practice
- Data Use and Research
- Management Skills (Effective Communication, Problem Solving, Team Organization, Time Management, etc.)
Training Materials:
- Develop all necessary training materials, including:
- Presentations
- Handouts
- Facilitator Guides
- Participant Workbooks
- Ensure materials are well-organized, clear, and accessible.
Training:
- Conduct pilot sessions of the developed modules with a sample group of nursing professionals.
- Gather feedback from participants and stakeholders to refine and improve the modules
Field Mentorship:
- Provide mentorship and supervision for field practicum for enrollees in the nurse leadership program with a provision of measurable outputs/outcomes for dissemination by enrolled Nurses.
Deliverables:
- Curriculum Outline
- Finalized Training Modules and Materials
- Field Practicum Reports
- End of Training Outputs from Individual Training Enrolles
Qualifications / Eligibility Criteria:
- Proven experience in healthcare curriculum development and training,
preferably in nursing leadership.
- Good understanding of the healthcare context and challenges in Nigeria
- Expertise in adult learning principles and interactive training methodologies
- Excellent communication and project management skills
