Title: Request for Quotation - Robotics Services
RFQ Number: JSI-2024-06-TMA PROJECT (Robotics Services)
Location: Nasarawa
Vendor’s Expected Delivery Date: On or before 10th June, 2024
Project Background
- The Injectables Access Collaborative advances the introduction and scale-up of DMPA-SC, including self-injection, to expand access and choice to a range of high-quality contraceptive options for women and girls.
- This project is led by PATH in collaboration with CHAI, in Supply, Jhpiego, and JSI. It provides data-driven technical assistance, coordination, resources, and tools to ensure that women have increased access to DMPA-SC self-injection as part of an expanded range of contraceptive methods, delivered through informed choice programming.
- Self-injection (SI) is central to the value proposition for introducing DMPA-SC. As such, the Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH) developed the National Guidelines on DMPA-SC Self-Injection. Since 2017, the Injectables Access Collaborative has been working with ministries of health and its agencies, as well as other partners across public and private sectors to facilitate the introduction and scale-up of the self-injectable contraceptive DMPA-SC.
Context
- In 2017, the Federal Ministry of Health & Social Welfare (FMOH) in collaboration with other stakeholders developed a five-year National DMPA-SC Accelerated Introduction and Scale-Up Plan (2017-2022) which outlined the National direction for the scale-up of DMPA-SC as part of the country's family planning method mix.
- Further to the above, the FMOH and stakeholders developed the National Guidelines for the Introduction and Scale-up of DMPA-SC Self-Injection (2019) to facilitate sustained implementation of the DMPA-SC Self-Injection (DMPA-SC/SI) Initiative in Nigeria.
- The two (2) National Guidelines have lapsed and need to be reviewed to incorporate all emerging issues in global family planning as well as evidence emanating from local implementation to address identified gaps. John Snow Inc. (JSI) supported FMOH in carrying out the action planning meeting and the first stakeholder DMPA-SC review meeting. For the second stakeholder DMPA-SC review meeting, we will be contracting for robotics service.
