The Ogun State Ministry of Environment invites interested contractors / private sectors to indicate interest by submitting EOI documents for the following works:

The Federal Ministry of Environment works to ensure environmental protection, natural resources conservation and sustainable development. Since its establishment, the Ministry has impacted on raising the issue of environmental consciousness in the minds of Nigerians as well as the interface with the Global environmental best practices.

Applications are invited for:

Title: Request for Expression of Interest (EOI)

Preamble

The Ogun State Ministry of Environment is requesting for Private Sector Participation at building Public Toilets Units (PTUS) across the Urban and Semi - Urban cities which is one of the giant stride of the present Government to reduce illness and diseases caused through unsanitary living conditions of urinating and defecating in the open which has resulted and lead to serious negative effects on health and the environment through exposures to diseases like diarrhea, cholera, viral hepatitis, dysentery etc. The environment suffers because this habit of open defecation produces toxins, bacteria and virus into the ecosystem thus making the microbial load end up in our water bodies.

This project would have implications for the environment, peoples culture, health and food security in Ogun State. This project therefore requires Private Sector Participation through the BOT scheme of build, operate and transfer after a franchise period.

Eligibility Requirements

Interested contractor should obtain an application form from the Ministry of Environment with the following conditions:

Tax payer in Ogun with 2021 valid tax payment.
Certificate of business registration with Corporate Affairs Commission.
Proof of previous construction, operation and maintenance of Public Toilet.
Sworn affidavit to conform to all information binding on the project and ensure that no staff to be engage is involved in any form of insolvency or bankruptcy.
Company profile with Curriculum Vitae.

25th February, 2022.

All documents are to be submitted in sealed envelope and addressed to:

Ogun State.

Note

Interested applicant are to obtain an application form of Twenty Five Thousand Naira (#25,000) Only (Non-refundable).
Ensure you sign the Expression of Interest (EoI) register at the Permanent Secretary Office.
The Expression of Interest (EoI) shall be opened immediately after the deadline of submission.
All documents shall be screened
All shortlisted applicants shall be contacted at a date for further processing.

General Information

Expression of Interest (EoI) must be in English Language and duly signed by an authorized person.
Expression of Interest (EoI) after deadline for submission would be returned un-opened.
All shortlisted applicants shall be contacted at a date for further processing.
The Public Toilet Units (PTUs) are to be constructed within 2 months.
The Ministry is not bound to shortlist any applicant and reserves the right to any means of selection process.

N/B: All existing Public Toilets (Mobile and Stationed Operators) should visit the Ministry of Environment for proper documentation of their facility within the Urban and Semi-Urban Areas of the State.
