The Cross River State Water Board Limited, invites contractors/suppliers to tender their bids for the Procurement of Small Works for the River State Water Board.
The Federal Government of Nigeria (hereinafter called "Borrower") has received financing from the International Development Association (IDA) and an additional co-financing from IDA and French Development Agency (AFD) (hereinafter called & "Loan") toward the cost of the Second National Urban Water Sector Reform Project.
The Borrower intends to apply part of the proceeds of the AFD Co-financing Loan to payments under the Contract for the Procurement of Small Works for the Cross River State Water Board Limited Calabar, Akamkpa and Ugep-Ediba House Connections in Cross River State, Nigeria

The scope of works will comprise:
- The installation of an estimated 5, 000 service house connections in Calabar,Akamkpa and Ugep-Ediba Installation of water supply pipes to cover approximately 6.0km of 0D75- OD110 size Upvc pipes with associated accessories and ancillary works. etc.
- The contract execution and implementation period shall be three months, Biding shall be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) or otherwise procedures specified in the World Banks Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA credits, 2004 revised and updated in 2012 and is open to all Bidders from eligible Source Countries as defined in the guidelines.
- Qualification requirements include the following minimum conditions:
- Bidders in order to be eligible MUST demonstrate credible reputable experience in works of similar nature and complexity, including timely delivery of same (i.e. Supply and Fast Paced installation of water service. connections and related ancillary works);
- Possess demonstrable and verifiable experience as a prime Contractor during the last five (5) years prior to this application submission deadline, and with activity in at least nine (9) months each year;
- Demonstrate Annual turn-over of at least USD2,000,000.00 (Two million USD) in at least two years in the last five years in works that have been successfully and substantially completed and that are similar to the proposed works under this Contract;
- Have a Project Manager with at least 10 years experience in Works of equivalent nature and volume, including not less than 5 years as Manager among its core staff;
- Own a substantial proportion of the requisite equipment required to successfully execute the contract on schedule;
- Provide the Bidders Annual Audit account for the last consecutive three years;
- For the last five(5)year to demonstrate:
- The current soundness of the applicants financial position and its prospective long term profitability, and
- Have Liquidity or evidence of access to or availability of confirmed positive credit facility of not less than one (1) months equivalent of the value in number 6 above;
- Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Cross Rivers State Water Board Limited and inspect the bidding documents at the address below from Mondays to Fridays (except on public holidays) from 08.30am to 04.30pm.
- A complete set of the bidding documents in English may he purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of NGN 90,000.00 (Ninety thousand naira only) or U$D 290 (Two hundred and Ninety United States dollars) or the equivalent sum in a freely convertible currency. The method of payment will be by cheque, bank draft or in cash, made out in favour of Cross River State Water Board Limited (and lodged in the designated account., with the payment slip tendered as evidence of payment);
- Bids must he delivered to the office address below in sealed envelopes on or before 2.00pm on 22nd AUGUST 2017 and be clearly marked;
