Invitation for Pre- intends Qualification and Tendering for University Projects at the University of Ilorin

The University of Ilorin to engage in the construction of the under listed project to be funded from the 2014 Federal Government normal capital allocation.

Invitation for Pre- intends Qualification and Tendering for University Projects 

The Project
The project entails the construction of Phase 1 of the extension to the administrative building including the senate chambers.

Prequalification Requirements
Documents to be submitted shall include but not limited to the following:

1. Evidence of Registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
2. Company profile and organizational structure, including names and resume of key personnel with addresses and phone numbers.
3. Evidence of registration of both the company and the key personnel with relevant professional bodies.
4. Verifiable list of previous similar major works carried out in the recent past with their locations and clients. (Copies of Completion Certificates/Final Payment Certificate should be attached.)
5. Evidence of current Tax Clearance Certificates for the last three (3) years.
6. Evidence of registration of Staff with Pension Commission of Nigeria.
7. Provision of VAT Certificate.
8. Three years audited accounts of the company (2010, 2011 and 2012)
9. Submission of 2% bid security from a reputable bank.
10. Evidence of Financial capability/Reference letter from a reputable bank.
11. Evidence of payment of industrial training contribution to the Industrial Training Fund (ITF)

Collection of Tender Documents
Tender documents could be collected from the office of the Director, Physical Planning Unit on presentation of receipt of payment issued by the Bursary Department, University of llorin for the Tender/documentation fee of N20, 000.00. Collection of documents is between 8.00am and 1.30pm daily from the date of this advertisement.

Bid Security
Each Tender is to be supported by a bank bid security to the tune of 2% of the tender price. Any tender that is not accompanied by a valid bid security shall be disqualified.

Closing Date:
5th December 2014

Submission of Documents
The prequalification documents and the commercial tender document shall be submitted separate envelopes to the office of Registrar, University of llorin. The envelopes should separately marked on the top left hand corner as follows:

• Pre-qualification documents.
• Commercial Tender.

Both submissions should be made on or before, 12noon on Friday 5th December, 2014.

Opening of Submission
The pre-qualification documents shall be opened at 12.30pm in the basement of the University Auditorium on the closing date, that is, Friday 5th December, 2014 equalified contractors would be contacted on the date for the opening of the commercial bid.

All contractors and the general public are invited to attend the opening exercise.
Please note that the University of Ilorin is neither committed nor obligated to short list contractor or to award the contract to any contractor, The University reserves the right to reject any bid.
