Requirements
Competent and interested contractors and suppliers who have requisite experience, equipment and plants and desire to execute the project(s) are required to submit their firm’s profile which must include but not limited to the following documents:

1. Evidence of incorporation of the company with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
2. Evidence of Recent Annual Returns to Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
3. Evidence of current tax clearance certificate for the past three years (ie 2011,2012,2013).
4. Evidence of VAT certificate and VAT remittances to Federal Inland Revenue Services (FIRS).
5. Evidence of Registration with the University as a Contractor indicating the category.
6. Evidence of Registration with the Anambra State Ministry of Works or Federal Ministry of Works.
7. Company’s profile with list of staff (with evidence of salary payments for at least six months) including Curriculum Vitae, Competence, Qualifications, Registrations with relevant regulatory professional bodies (particularly in the building construction projects) and experience of key personnel.
8. Evidence of previous similar projects undertaken in past FIVE (5) years including verifiable scope of project, site of project, contract sum, evidence of successful completion of such projects in record time (showing interim/final valuations and payment certificates).
9. Evidence of current edited accounts of firms for the past THREE (3) Years (2011, 2012, 2013).
10. Evidence of possession of plants and equipment and a listing of such equipment as possessed/owned or easily accessible by the Firm, State location of plants and equipment for ease of verification.
11. Evidence of Financial capability and banking support (bank references), bank statement of accounts for last three months and letter authorizing the University to verify same from the bank.
12. Sworn affidavit that (a) Firm is not bankrupt (b) None of the directors is an ex-convict or bankrupt.
13. Articulated work plan and methodology for execution of projects.
14. Evidence of remitting employee pension contributions to appropriate pension fund custodian (PENCOM compliance).
15. Evidence of transferring all pension funds and assets prior to the commencement of the Pension Reform Act to licenced operators.
16. Please state clearly your company’s full address, GSM Phone number and email address for ease of communication.

Method of Application
Eligible Companies/Firms who desire to be pre-qualified for these projects are required to prepare and submit their pre-qualification documents in ONE (1) hard copy and ONE (1) soft copy in a sealed envelope clearly indicating on the top the chosen lot eg LOT 1, LOT 2, ... LOT 15 and the description/scope of work as well as the code of the chosen lot and address to:

Closing Date:
23rd October 2014

Submission
Pre-qualification documents should be registered and thereafter dropped into the Tender Box at the Registrar’s Office, Anambra State University, Uli not later than Thursday October 23rd, 2014. Pre-qualification documents shall be processed on an appointed day by the University’s Tenders Board. All Contractors/Firms will be notified of the pre-qualification result in writing. Successful and pre-qualified contractors shall thereafter be invited to collect the tender documents for LOTS 1 to 3 from the Director of Physical Planning and bid documents for LOTS 4 to 15 from the Bursar, both at Anambra State University, Uli. While returning respective tender documents, the tenderers/bidders shall be required to pay stipulated NON REFUNDABLE tender fee of N 100,000.00 (One hundred thousand naira only) in Ecobank, Fidelity Bank or Zenith and obtain certified Bank Teller and convert the Bank Teller into a Receipted evidence of payment from the Revenue unit of the University Bursary. Certified ten copies of the receipts of all payments must be attached. The completed tender documents should be returned 23rd October 2014.
