Invitation to a Public Hearing on the Draft Nigerian Electricity Supply and Installation Standards (NESIS) Regulations� at the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission

Pursuant to Section 98 of the Electric Power Sector Reform Act 2005, the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has initiated the review of the two Regulations S.1.5 of 1996 “Electricity Act Electrical installation Regulations” and S.1.6 of 1996 “Electricity Supply Regulations” issued under the repealed Electricity Act.

Invitation to a Public Hearing on the Draft “Nigerian Electricity Supply and Installation Standards (NESIS) Regulations” at the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission

The draft regulation was made public to stakeholders in June 2014. The process of public consultation will be concluded with a public hearing to discuss the draft regulations and all comments for consensus in line with the principles of NERC in ensuring transparency in regulating the power sectors

The Nigerian Public is hereby cordially invited to attend this all important hearing to contribute to the development of these regulations.
