Project Description: Development of Infrastructure
ECCDE:

• Constructson of 3-classroom blocks with 2-unit VIP Toilet in various public primary schools in the State.
• Renovation of 3-classroom blocks
• Supply of teachers’ furniture

Primary Schools:

• Construction of twin one-storey 12-classroom blocks with 2- unit VIP toilet each.
• Perimeter fencing of Primary Schools.
• Renovation of 4-classroom blocks in various primary schools in the State.
• Supply of teachers’ furniture
• Supply of Single-seater plastic pupils’ desks.

Junior Secondary Schools

• Construction of twin one-storey 12-classroom blocks with 2- unit VIP toilet each in Junior Secondary Schools in the State.
• Renovation of 5-classroom blocks in Junior Secondary Schools in the State.
• Supply of 2-seater students’ desks
• Supply of teacher’s furniture

Pre-Qualification Requirements
Only Companies/Contractors that have proven capability/relevant experience and good track record will be considered for pre-qualification to tender.
Companies are required- to submit their profile with underlisted documents in sealed envelopes clearly marked “Pre-quaIification to Tender” addressed to the Executive Chairman, State Universal Basic Education Board, Port Harcourt Road, P.M.B. 1500, Owerri, Imo State not later than 4.00 pm Friday, 5 September, 2014.

1. Certificate of registration/incorporation issued by CAC
2. Current Tax Clearance Certificate
3. Evidence of Similar projects executed.
4. List of equipment and resume’ of key professional staff to be involved in construction work.
5. Evidence of healthy banking relationship
6. Current VAT registration Certificate
7. Audited accounts for 3 years (for limited liability companies)
8. Evidence of registration with the Board and State/Federal Ministry of Works.

Tender Procedure:
Pre-qualified bidders are required to pay non-refundable tender fee of N20, 000 for Category ‘A’; N50,000 for Category ‘B’; and N 150,000 for Category ‘C’ respectively to SUBEB UBA Account at Wetheral Road, Owerri and collect receipt from SUBEB Cash Office on presentation of bank paying-in teller.

Bidding documents can be collected by pre-qualified companies/firms from Works Department, SUBEB, Owerri from 9.00am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday, daily from Monday, 8th September, 2014.

Submission of Tender:
The bids with the tender documents must be enclosed in sealed envelopes clearly marked “TENDER FOR 2013 UBE INTERVENTION FUND PROJECT”, not later than 12noon on the closing date and addressed to:
