1.) Introduction
The Cross River State Government through the Cross River State Council on Privatization (CRSCP) invites prospective investors interested in acquiring any of the above listed enterprises to submit technical bids for pre-qualification

2.) Below is a Brief of Each of the Enterprises
(i) Diary Farm at the Ranch:
The diary farm is located at the famous Obudu Ranch Resort in Obanliku Local Government Area in the North-Eastern part of Cross River State of Nigeria. Approximately 110km east of the town Ogoja and 65km from Obudu. It is located about 332km from Calabar, the state capital.

The Ranch is situated on the elevation of 1,576 metres above sea level and enjoys a temperate climate ideal for livestock farming with temperatures ranging between26°c to 32°c between November and January, while the lowest temperature range of 4’c to 10°c is recorded between June and September. The lush grassland is ideal for cattle rearing.

The diary farm grazing land covers an area of 2,788.75 hectares identified as area A, B, C, D, F and G as shown in survey plan No. CR1088.96 tracing No. CRC.8866.

(ii) Honey Factory: The honey processing factory was established in 2005. It is located at the Obudu Ranch Resort. The production capacity of the factory is 2.02 tons of honey per day. All the honey processing equipment/accessories are functional and in good condition.

(iii) Obudu Meat Processing Factory
Obudu meat processing factory was established in September, 1989. The factory is situated in a very accessible location along the Ikom-Obudu highway. It was established to process meat and meat products

(iv) Government Livestock, Ikom
The Ikom livestock farm is one of the development farms set up by the state government. It is located within the Ikom Industrial Estate along Calabar-Ikom highway. The farm was established in the 70s and served as a demonstration farm for training of farmers in poultry production. The size of the farm is six hectares. The buildings and structures are in good condition.

3.) Pre-Qualification Documents
Prospective investors are required to supply the following documents:
  • Profile of the company or consortium including ownership structure
  • Composition of the management team
  • Evidence of tax payment
  • Record of successful investment in relevant business with the sector
  • Evidence of financial capability to invest and reactivate the venture
  • Evidence of technical and operational capabilities
  • Payment of non-refundable application fee as follows:
    • Diary Farm-N300,000,0(1(Three hundred thousand naira)
    • Honey Factory-N 100,000.00 (One hundred thousand naira)
    • Meat Processing Factory-N100,000,00 (One hundred thousand naira)
    • Government livestock Farm- 100,000.00 (One hundred thousand naira)

4.) Closing Date/Submission of Pre-Qualification Applications
The pre-qualification application should be sealed and delivered either by hand or by registered mail to the address below not 21st March, 2013. Only short listed companies shall be invited to submit financial bids within seven days after the technical pre-qualification exercise is completed.

Prospective investors should contact the Executive Secretary to arrange access to the ventures for inspection and evaluation. The Cross River State council on privatization reserves the right to decline pre-qualification for any investor considered unfit to participate in the privatization process.
