Expression of Interest for Roads within the Following Provision Layouts in of Access Abia State.

Introduction: The Abia State Government, through its Ministry of physical Planning and Urban Renewal intends to provide all season Access Roads Within the following layouts in Umuahia, Aba, Ohafia and lsuikwuato hereby calls for expression of interest from suitably qualified Town Planning/ Engineering Consulting firms.

The Projects:
Name: Ndumeotuka IBB residential layout, Urnuahia
Area of the Layout: 132.45 hectares
No. of Roads: 32
Approximate area of roads: 269, 420m2

Name: Osisioma-Ngwa Luxury bus residential layout Aba
Area of the Layout: 152.28 hectares
No. of Roads: 25
Approximate area of roads: 192, 508m2

Name: Isiama Ohafia residential layout, Ohafia
Area of the Layout: 198.446 hectares
No. of Roads: 67
Approximate area of roads: 452, 654m2

Name: Mbalano layout, Isuikwuato
Area of the Layout: 114.154 hectares
No. of Roads: 28
Approximate area of roads: 192.624m2

Scope of Work:
Opening up and asphalting all roads as provided in the layout, including the major Access Roads into the layouts.

Provision of Electricity within the layout.

Provision and reticulation of pipe borne water within the layout.

Requirements: The firm’s submission must include:

• The capacity of the firm to carry out the project.
• Willingness to partner with government for the Project on PPP basis
• Approximate time frame to complete the project.
• Components of the project.
• Evidence of registration to practice in Nigeria by the relevant professional body or company.

Purchase of Application Forms: Interested applicants are encouraged, to inspect the layouts and purchase application forms with a non refundable fee of one hundred thousand naira (100, 000.00) only at the ministry’s Office, Finbarrs Road, Umuahia, Abia State.

Closing Date/Submission
All submissions of completed forms should reach the state Director of Town Planning, Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Renewal, 1st April, 2013 in a sealed envelope, marked “LAYOUTS PPP”
